In February 2010 Red Bull Music Academy will touch down in London, bringing ground breaking musicians from 32 countries together to ignite fresh ideas and millions of melodies. With over 3,000 applicants competing for the chance to be a part of this unique experience, only four were hand-picked from America to attend the twelfth installment in London.
Who are the group of four US participants bringing their craft to London in 2010? Let us give you a sneak peak.
Tokimonster on the label Brainfeeder from Los Angeles. She's the Flying Lotus' female prodigy.
B.Bravo on the label Frite Nite from San Francisco plays sax and keys in his current band Bayonics.
00Gensis on the label Rxlngr from Maryland a Hip-Hop producer who draws hypnotic fuel from his self-penned cartoon

The pulsing heart of the Academy will be a three-story building on Tooley St. in central London packed with fully-equipped music studios, a live Red Bull Music Academy Radio broadcast, and an exhibition showcasing a vibrant array of emerging UK artists. Every night, the inspiration will be siphoned off to create a unique series of club nights and concerts in the city's storied venues.
You can plug into these shows either by picking up a copy of the Daily Paper at outposts in London and around the U.K., or via the home page: http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com and http://www.redbullmusicacademyradio.com.
Over the past 11 years, the Red Bull Music Academy has traveled the world and the musicians who have been Academy lecturers or participants comprise a roll call of those who's changed the game. Each year, 60 participants from diverse cultures mine the knowledge of greats such as jazz-fusion pioneers the Mizell Brothers, rave collage-artist M.I.A. and reggae production duo Sly & Robbie. Visionary L.A. beat maker Flying Lotus and Hip-Hop minstrel Mr. Hudson are just two of the many who have joined the Academy as participants and gone on to shake music to its very foundations. This global symposium of musical knowledge comes to London with an unprecedented series of events, talent, collaborations and beyond while also paying tribute to the past, present and future of the city's exuberant music culture.
Here are just some of the amazing talent that will be on the couch this year to download the lucky few on music experiences and life in the business: Martyn, Matmos, Henrik Schwarz,Scientist, Flying Lotus, Cluster, Marley Marl, and Tim Goldsworthy. Many more will also be in attendance over the two 2-week sessions.
