At least that's what it seemed like when we saw these demos. VocalRider is a dynamics management plug whose sole purpose is to "ride the fader" for the lead vocal in relation to the rest of your mix. To watch it in action is like nothing short of watching an assistant enginner (a good one at that) ride the fader by hand. Then, there's WNS--Waves Noise Suppressor. To call it "multiband noise reduction" really ignores the fact that it's more like a noise eliminator. It takes some tweaking to master, but once you do, it can literally remove the sound of the truck that drove by as you were recording a take. So effective it's almost creepy.
