To boost the launch of their new YouTube channel, Hammond TV, the Hammond USA folks are having a contest whose grand prize is a Digital Leslie Pedal. Official press release and entry information is below.
Hammond Organ’s Online HTV YouTube channel announce the launch of the “HAMMOND RIFF OFF”, where musicians everywhere can enter videos of their best riffs played on a Hammond Instrument to win fame and fabulous prizes.
“HTV” is Hammond USA’s YouTube Video channel which features in-depth interviews with Hammond Artists. The “Riff Off” is the first contest launched on the channel. Star 1 Records/Universal Music Group Recording (Dist.) Artist EMIKO is the host of “HTV”.
The “Riff Off”, which launches today, asks musicians to submit a 30 second (or less) video of their best riff on a Hammond Instrument. This could mean a Vintage B-3 Organ or any of the voices from Hammond’s new SK series which go beyond the classic soulful sound the world has known for over years.
The videos, which can be as simple as a smart-phone recording will be uploaded to the HTV YouTube channel, and the top four (qualified by number of views) will become the Semi-finalists. A panel of Hammond USA officials, Industry VIPs, and celebrity artists will select the Winner.
Prizes include Hammond Logo Baseball caps for the Semi-Finalists and a Digital Leslie Pedal for the Winner. The Winner’s video will also be featured for one Month on the HTV site.
The closing date for submissions will be January 19th, with January 30th as the announcement of the four semi-finalists. The Winner will be announced on February 2nd.
Entries should be e-mailed to email@example.com, including contact name, e-mail address, contact info, and social media links.
