New Product Offers Balanced or Standard Headphone Drive and 24bit/192kHz Audio DAC
A major update to the acclaimed Fostex HP-A4 combination D/A converter and headphone amp, the HP‑A4BL features newly-designed digital circuitry and high-performance headphone amplifiers that optimize both accuracy and listening pleasure. Its balanced headphone output (4-pin XLR) offers a significant increase in audio performance while its standard ¼” TRS output and Hi/Lo gain switch assure operation with a wide range of standard headphones.
Compatible with USB Audio 2.0 and ready for use with both Windows and MAC PCs, the HP-A4BL features a Burr-Brown DAC circuit that allows decoding of either 24bit/192kHz PCM audio streams or DSD audio at up to 11.2MHz. Rear panel features include a USB input, S/PDIF input and output (optical) and analog RCA outputs.
Compact, attractive and priced at a MAP of $499.99, the HP-A4BL will debut at NAMM 2016, and will be available for sale in April, 2016. See the HP-A4BL and its perfect companion, the new Fostex TH-900 mk2 headphones (with optional balanced cabling) at American Music and Sound’s Booth 6464, Hall A.
