Casio just introduced a new digital piano that really aims to do double duty for stage and home, the former thanks to its touchscreen interface and--from what our ears are initially telling us--great sounds; the latter thanks to its included wooden stand and pedals. Meet the CGP-700. That stands for “Compact Grand Piano,” and we’re already blowing up their phones to get a review unit, but we’ll have patience since they’re at Summer NAMM right now. In the meantime, enjoy the teaser video below.
Casio shows four new sampling keyboards at Summer NAMM 2014
“After more than 25 years since the introduction of its first mini sampling keyboard, Casio has taken sampling keyboards to a whole new level with the launch of the Sound eFX series,” said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio’s Electronic Musical Instruments Division. “Casio is providing consumers with all the necessary features to create custom tracks including built-in microphones, various sampling modes and exceptional sound layering. It gives them a taste of what it’s like to be a musician producing their own songs.”
