We're choosing Swedish singer/songwriter Albin Lee Meldau's track "Same Boat" from his new album About You as our THURSDAY TRACK PICK this week.

Meldau, the son of a Swedish jazz singer mom and a British punk rocker dad, made his debut at SXSW and Bonnaroo last year, and won the 2016 Anchor Award, an international competition hosted by the Reeperbahn Festival in Germany that seeks out the best new emerging talent. He was selected by a jury that included David Bowie's longtime producer Tony Visconti, who sang Albin’s praises in presenting him the award saying, “Something is pouring out of his heart and soul when he sings.”

"Kalle Stenbacken who’s a musician and friend of mine came to me with parts of a phenomenal piano song that was real and moving," Meldau tells us about the track. "We sat down and figured out what do to with all the pieces. We are all one flesh and this song depicts how we sometimes need to be reminded about that, especially now with everything going on in the world.”
