Keyboardist Daryl Dragon of the pop group The Captain and Tennille died Wednesday in Arizona due to renal failure.

He was 76.

Dragon, affectionately known as "The Captain," scored numerous pop hits with his partner and wife Toni Tennille, including  "Love Will Keep Us Together" and "Do That To Me One More Time."

He was profiled on the cover of KEYBOARD in May of 1977.
