MY BIG BREAK: In 2009 after years of playing in bands in NYC and touring with various artists, I was selected as a winner on Making the Band with P. Diddy on MTV 2009. That gave me visibility beyond New York City for the first time. The next was auditioning for and getting the Lady Gaga gig in 2010. I have now done four world tours with her and even played the Super Bowl with her in 2017.
LATEST PROJECTS: I'm releasing my debut album The Brockettship on Modern Icon/Ropeadope records on October 12 on all digital platforms.
FAVORITE KEYBOARDS AND WHY? The Piano Arc circular keyboard which I invented with a team of engineers and musicians. It is so radically different that it takes keyboard performance to a whole new zone. I also love playing on a real piano and I am finally getting hip to the old classic synths like Moogs, Prophets, Roland Juno and Jupiter, as well as new Roland stuff like the System 8. Dave Smith Instruments and Nord are killing it as well.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU? Besides continuing to play with Gaga, I look forward to performing as a solo artist and becoming more prominent as a writer and producer.
ADVICE TO THE NEXT GENERATION: Do what you love to do. Passion is the most important thing and it's what people will respond to.
