We join with our friends at Steinway & Sons to mourn the passing of longtime National Artistic Coordinator Irene Wlodarski on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

For over 37 years, Irene was a beacon for Steinway Artists and Dealers, who she would affectionately refer to as her "flock." She spent over half of her lifetime at Steinway Hall in New York City, and was beloved by colleagues near and far. She was kind, compassionate and fiercely loyal to Steinway.

KEYBOARD editor Jon Regen writes, "For 20 years, Irene cheered me and countless otherSteinway Artists on, helping us find just the right piano for our homes or the stage. I am quite sure I wouldn't have the career I do today without her kindness and unwavering support."

A tribute to Irene is captured in the below video.
