The music: I would have to say a mixture of pop, gospel, and R&B with bebop chords and a straight-ahead style. Songs covered on the newest album Lookin’ For A Change: “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley, “1,000 Miles” by Vanessa Carlton, “Kiss From A Rose” by Seal, “The Scientist” by Coldplay, “This is How A Heart Breaks” by Rob Thomas, and others.

Inspiration behind Lookin’ For A Change: I think it is important, as an artist, to reinvent yourself from time to time, and I wanted to try something new.
Live rig: Acoustic piano or Yamaha Motif.
Biggest challenge when reworking pop songs: Whether or not it is going to fit in a new style, and being able to keep the integrity of the original song.
How to reinvent popular songs, stay true to the originals, but make them your own: It’s important to already have your own style. The most important thing is that who you are comes out in the music.
Practice regimen: I have none. I practice when I feel the need, although usually daily.
Favorite keyboard song: I don’t have just one, as so many composers and artists inspire me.
One piece of career advice: Have a love for what you do, develop your own style, and be comfortable with it.
