Introducing OhmRGB

Television took about 25 years to introduce color. Three years after we debuted the Ohm64, we are happy to announce the OhmRGB. The OhmRGB is based on the design and functionality of our flagship controller the Ohm64, but adds multiple color LEDs, new scripts, functionality, and expansion jacks.

Multicolor LEDs

One of the main attractions to the OhmRGB is the ability to program your own layout of color. You can use the editor to assign different colors for different functions, no matter what software you are using it with. The OhmRBG has 81 programmable, multi-color buttons. Using MIDI notes, continuous controls, or sysex, each button can be programmed to light with one of seven colors. Use the OhmRGB Editor to set different button color states for interactive performance, or program your software (Ableton Live, CellDNA, and many others) to control the LEDs. The flexibility of color coding your setup enhances the control of your performance, and makes the controller the center of your show.

Expansion Jacks

The OhmRGB expansion module adds new possibilities for control. Two 1Ž4” jacks allow you to instantly connect Roland-style foot pedals and single analog controls. Put your feet in the mix for additional controls, or experiment adding different sensors and switches. If that’s not enough, you can add up to eight more analog controls with the pin header connection. This provides a direct link into the OhmRGB Brain so you can experiment with touch controls, sensors, accelerometers, faders, rotary knobs, and more. Of course, our Builder series BYOB boards can be easily integrated for a totally customized, expandable, and modular setup.

OhmModes

Ohm Modes is a sophisticated remote script we created for Ableton Live for both the OhmRGB and the Ohm64. This Ableton Live Script for the Ohm64 provides automatically mapped control over your Live Set when using the Ohm. With three "virtual" controllers available, the controller can be instantly remapped to offer a new control mode, depending on your task: Mixing, Playing, or DJ'ing. All of the buttons on the OhmRGB use multicolor feedback to show different states and functions within live, allowing you to perform with the instrument and leave your computer in the background.
