Long known for providing outstanding bang for buck with their Privia
line, keyboard manufacturer Casio
has gone upscale with a new line of home-oriented digital pianos, the Celviano Grand Hybrid
. Developed in collaboration with German artisanal piano maker C. Bechstein
, the new hybrid pianos feature exhaustively realistic sound sets, an action that duplicates the mechanics and strike line of a real grand piano, and a speaker system designed to duplicate the sound field of the real thing as well.
’s own Jon Regen
visited Casio USA headquarters in New Jersey this week to get a personal first look at these next-level instruments from Casio, which in our opinion appear to be aiming straight at the Yamaha AvantGrand
line while--in true Casio fashion--costing far less money. Expect a full review from us very soon. For now, check out the six hands-on videos we shot at Casio.
