Ten analog synths plus Ableton Live controlled from an Arturia BeatStep Pro at once

July 7, 2015
The BeatStep Pro from Arturia is a multi-part sequencer with 64 steps per sequence as well as both MIDI and CV/gate capability. This makes it one heck of a nerve center for groove-oriented musicians who want to program their MIDI gear or software synths with a drum machine-like interface, and/or control their analog and modular worlds at the same time.

Here’s Arturia’s Sébastien Rochard creating a track in real time, using ten analog synths, Ableton, and the BeatStep Pro as the central musical interface. We’re planning to review it soon. In the meantime, you can read our review of the original BeatStep here.
