Akai Pro releases MPC Software Version 1.4 with more than two dozen added features and enhancements.

Cumberland, R.I. (June 26, 2013) – Akai Professional has just released MPC Software Version 1.4, the latest in a series of updates for the software at the heart of the MPC Renaissance and MPC Studio controllers. As with previous updates, Version 1.4 includes the most-requested enhancements from MPC users all over the world, including 64-bit support in all versions: standalone, VST, and AU.

“Listening is how great music is made, and it’s also how the best software is made,” said Dan Gill, Akai Professional Product Manager. “That’s our strategy for making MPC Software the most powerful and flexible DAW available—we’re engaging our customers, listening, and getting to work on the features that matter the most to them.”

In addition to 64-bit support, MPC Software includes many updates made to optimize workflow, including the ability to export return buses, load samples when playing, and select multiple files in the file browser. Users will also be able to alphabetically sort their sample list and take advantage of a new auto-save capability, as well as zooming and scrolling in the updated LCD sample editor.
