One-take live compositions from Mark de Clive-Lowe

We know--many a Keyboard reader favors legit chops on the black-and-whites over what some of you have called “button-pressing music production.” In fact, we do ourselves, which is why it’s not called “Drum Pad Magazine” or “Controller Magazine.” Then you come across someone like Mark de Clive-Lowe, who has clearly legit skills under both paradigms, and it shows you just how musical and inspirational combining these skill sets can be. The following two compositions were done using a combination of good old keyboard playing, live loop recording, and real-time beat making on Native Instruments Maschine. Each was done in real time in just one take.
