2013 gets off to an action-packed start for Alan Parsons and the ASSR team with the announcement of two new Master Class Training Session events—in Las Vegas (Feb 1st and 2nd) and Nashville (Feb 12th/13th).
The Vegas MCTS “Iconic Instrumentals,” looks at the creation of theme music. Music like Sirius– used by the Chicago Bulls and which provided the audio backdrop to 2012’s Soccer’s Euro Cup, John Miles’ Music, an Olympic competition staple, and of course the classic Money from Pink Floyd—puts Alan at the very forefront of music ‘that goes beyond bands and artists.’
The Vegas event not only explores all aspects of the style, it also features a special segment on 5.1 Surround mixing for which Alan (Grammy-nominated in this category in 2007 for his album A Valid Path) has always been such a skilled and powerful emissary.
Nashville's "The Art of the Song" takes Alan back to his first love in the recording studio, working with songwriters. The man who first worked on Abbey Road and Let It Be and who went on to produce such timeless classic pop hits as Oh Ho Ho It’s Magic and Year Of The Cat, will be working with new Nashville talent on the creation of a brand new single.
A very Happy New Year to all of you and if there's one resolution to keep, it's about pushing your creativity and the pursuit of making great music!
