Locate Points Yamaha Motif/Motif ESMay, 2005There are a number of uses for locate points, and here’s just one: Set a locate point just before recording a solo and you can jump back to that specific spot instantly if and when you need to lay down a second, third (or fourteenth) take. Sure beats scrolling back and forth to find the “in” point again. Here’s how to do it: 1. Move to the measure in the song just before the measure in which you want to begin your scorching solo. 2. Press and hold Store. 3. While holding Store, select “locator1” by touching the left-arrow button (or set this point to “locator2” by touching the right-arrow button). After a flubbed (or maybe just underwhelming; hey, you’re not warmed up yet) first take, jump to the locate point: 4. Hold down the return-to-zero button, and touch the left-arrow button to go to “locator1” (right-arrow for “locator2”). |
