Mix templates expedite songwriting Yamaha Motif ESMarch, 20051. Enter Pattern mode, and touch Mixing. Set up a generic selection of sounds across a few tracks. Piano on Track 1, bass on Track 2, drums on Track 3, for instance. 2. Touch Job. Jobs are like macros on a computer; they condense a bunch of commands into one button-press. Now touch F6, labeled Template i 1. Enter Pattern mode, and touch Mixing. Set up a generic selection of sounds across a few tracks. Now touch F6, labeled Template in the display. 3. The SF4 and SF5 buttons are labeled Get and Put, respectively. Touch SF5 to Put your new Mix into the currently-selected Template. Later, when a song is bursting out of your head, you’ll follow nearly the same button trail to Get this Template and Put it into a new Pattern or Song so you don’t have to mess with setting up a new Mix from scratch; instead you can just concentrate on getting your ideas down. |
