The music: Melodic, progressive, funky, house. Growing up, I was really into emotional chord changes and big melodic elements, so I like to bring that into something accessible for both house and trance DJs.
Favorite gear: I love my Yamaha EX5 — great synth with a great sound. Anything you want or need can be done on this synth. I also could not live without my Mac Pro and MacBook Pro.
Favorite songs: Right now I’m loving anything by Paul Keeley and Phunktastike. If I had to pick a few tracks, I’d say Paul Keeley, “Paper Jet” (Original Mix); Chymera, “Parelo” (Jody Wisternoff Remix); Phunktastike, “Citrik” (XS Night Remix).
Influences: My biggest influences right now would have to be Add2Basket, Claes Rosen, Paul Keeley — among many, many others!
Play by ear or play as written: I’m all about playing by ear. I can read music, but I’d rather just be in “that mood.” Feeling the music is so much more organic and fun!
