Morph Grouping Nord Lead 3The Nord Lead 3 allows you to assign multiple parameters to one controller using the Morph Group function. Here’s how: 1. Begin with a basic sound. Initialize the patch by holding the Shift button and pressing Sound. 2. Set the Filter Cutoff to 120Hz, the Amp Env. Release to 50m, turn the Unison on and set it to 40. 3. In the Morph Assign section, hold the Velocity button down. 4. While holding the Velocity button, change the Filter Cutoff frequency to 2kHz, the Amp Env. Release to 1.5s, and the Unison amount to 100. 5. As you play from soft to loud, the sound will detune, the release time will increase, and the filter frequency will rise. You’ve just created a Morph Group. This example only used three parameters, but up to 26 parameters can be combined in a Morph Group. (Yow!) You can assign Morph Groups to velocity, modulation wheel, aftertouch, or controller pedals, as well as to user-assignable keyboard ranges. |
