MXL® Releases Affordable Instrument Recording Package

MXL® Microphones, the professional audio division of Marshall Electronics, has released the 603 Instrument Microphone as a value-added recording pack for today’s professional and working musicians.

According to MXL, the 603 shares characteristics of European and Japanese imports at a fraction of the price and delivers natural acoustic properties for overhead drums, piano, string instruments, brass, etc. “The 603 Instrument Pair is a real bang for the buck ” says Jim Mona, MXL’s National Sales Manager.  “This mic is very detailed and bright, but not too bright, and performs amazingly well on just about any kind of instrument.”

According to Mr. Mona, the 603 can handle guitar amp recordings and uses a transformerless design that provides a solid bottom and an extremely open top end sound, capturing most instruments’ harmonics as well as natural tones.
