This is a great way to quickly find the types of sounds you need for composition and performance while keeping your creative juices flowing. The smart search features are accessed through double-button presses using the keypad and the +/– buttons. Smart searching is maximized if you organize and systematically name your sounds too.

1. On the numeric keypad, press and hold the Enter button and any keypad button.

2. Use the alpha wheel and the cursor buttons to enter a search string.

3. Press Enter and the search string will be stored at this location. In addition, the first sound searched and
found is automatically selected.

4. To reach the next sound corresponding to your search string, press and hold Enter and the + button. You
can browse through all the searched items this way by using + for the next and – for the previous one.

5. Set up other search strings for the other keypad buttons as necessary by repeating steps 1 to 3.

6. Recall your stored searches easily by pressing and holding Enter and your chosen keypad button.

7. Press and hold Enter again and browse next or previous with + or –.
