Jazz Mutant Dexter

Like its incredibly programmable relative, the Lemur, the Dexter is a very creative multi-touch touchscreen surface that can be programmed to control elements of audio software. Dexter’s got a more focused role than the Lemur: It’s designed to work with effects plug-ins and software DAWs. The idea is to give you instant control of multiple parameters and very clear graphical feedback of what your settings are. I was a bit disappointed to learn that it is not currently planned to work with virtual instruments, but I was very impressed with its control over EQ plug-ins.
