HyperbubbleEarly Eurythmics meets Josie and the Pussycats! Drum machines and resonant analog squirts form the basis of this duo’s unapologetic anthems to the golden age of electropop. “Girl Boy Pop Toy” even admonishes “synthesizer haters” to come to a gig and be converted. The vibe is all about having too much fun to care if you look like a dork, and if you’re too cool for that, the joke’s on you. (Bubblegum, hyperbubble.net)
