“Hungry Heart”, “Livin’ in the Future” & “Fourth of July (Sandy)” by Bruce Springsteen

Here we’ve transcribed a handful of Danny’s most famous solos and parts; “Hungry Heart” and “Livin’ in the Future” are solos that Danny played on the B-3, and “Fourth of July (Sandy)” is Danny’s pièce de résistance on accordion.

There are far too many great examples of Danny Federici’s wonderful playing to provide here; we urge you to wrap your ears around the following E Street Band hits for more:

“Badlands” (Darkness on the Edge of Town); “Backstreets,” “Born to Run,” “Thunder Road,” “Jungleland” (Born to Run); “Rosalita,” “Kitty’s Back” (The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle); “Point Blank” (The River); “You’re Missing” (The Rising); “Gypsy Biker” (Magic).

Where’s the Sheet Music?!
Much of the sheet music that Keyboard publishes is copyrighted material, licensed from the artists to run only in the printed version of the magazine. Keyboard continues to offer the explanatory text of these lessons online, but in order to get the complete song transcriptions and other bits of licensed sheet music, you need to have a copy of the magazine.

Sure, you could run down to the local music shop or corner store and pick up the latest issue of Keyboard, but why not subscribe today? It's easy, cheap and you'll never miss another lesson!
