How It's Made - SKB Cases

Instrument cases are one of those unglamorous but very necessary pieces of gear. You might be surprised to learn that one of the most popular brands of cases for keyboards, guitars, rackmount gear, and just about everything else--SKB--is made right here in the USA. Years ago, they were first to market with flight-rated plastic cases that provided an afforable yet rugged middle ground between soft gig bags and heavy plywood-and-steel road cases. Today, they're the dominant and most copied style of case on the market.

We went inside the SKB factory in southern California to look at the machinery and processes behind the cases that protect so many musicians' gear. We hope you learn as much from watching these videos as we did from shooting them.
