Benjamin John Power— one half of U.K. noise duo F**k Buttons—has created an electronic utopia with his debut solo effort. Full of soaring synths and tinkly found sounds, Blanck Mass sounds like it could be the soundtrack for the Discovery Channel’s Planet Earth. I could happily watch lava gracefully flow from a volcano while listening to this album. And because Power is one half of F**k Buttons, Blanck Mass is perfectly peppered with noisy, dirty synths. Excellent. (Rock Action | blanckmass.bandcamp.com)
