Editor Stephen Fortner recently attended “Roland University” at Roland US headquarters in Los Angeles. Mainly devoted to dealer training, it showcased the new Jupiter-80 synth. At the end of the day, we caught up with Roland’s Scott Tibbs to check out sounds and discuss the underlying technology. It was also a blast to try it side-by-side with a vintage Jupiter-8.
