Higgins, the legendary New Orleans drummer behind acts like The Warren Haynes Band, John Scofield's Piety Street Band, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, will be checking in to New Orleans' Oak Street Recording for three days of recording with his band Swampgrease. And we'll be presenting the entire session live on the Web, from tracking to final mix.

The sessions will commence on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Central Daylight Time with pre-production and an interview with Terance. Day Two, Thursday May 10, will include tracking with the band from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM CDT. And Day Three will include tracking and mixing, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM CDT.

The album will be recorded and mixed using PreSonus gear and Studio One 2 DAW software. Oak Street engineers will record the sessions using Audix microphones, and Higgins will be playing Pearl drums, Sabian cymbals, and Vic Firth sticks.
